INSECTO the crowd surfing pioneers are quickly becoming a San Francisco favorite. Three of the four primary members met in 1996 while competing in A National Badminton Tournament in San Francisco. It was there that they joined forces and began there mission to bring Badminton to the public eye. The name of their new CD. "BAD ART" refers to Badminton as an art form. In an attempt to gain support they started writing songs with local D.J. Web Fingers who was also a Badminton lover but never went pro. Together they figured the best way to get the support of the public is to invade their ears and eyes with more stimulation then they can handle, including a medley of loud wacky music and a variety of phenomenal stage antics and guests, from bondage girls to hippie chicks, crowd surfing contests, video and light shows, magic acts, fire eaters, monsters, and the amazing Iranian Badminton pro Mahamad, who plays Ney with his tooth!
